This role involves hands-on assistance with tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. The Technician Assistant will play a key role in preparing, maintaining, and operating tools and equipment while learning valuable technical skills. You will report to the Lead Technician on all matters and the Administrative Coordinator for scheduling. We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all team members can thrive and grow.Key Responsibilities Assist Technicians in installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting pool covers and related pool equipment. Support Technicians in preparing, maintaining, and organizing tools, materials, and equipment for job sites. Transport tools and materials to and from work locations as directed. Follow instructions and assist with tasks, including measurements, equipment assembly, adjustments, and quality checks. Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision. Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of tools, equipment, and workspaces. Perform routine maintenance to extend the lifespan of pool covers, such as cleaning, lubricating, and applying protective treatments. Provide on-site support, including holding or positioning materials and troubleshooting under guidance. Observe and follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with company policies. Keep detailed records of service calls, maintenance tasks, and customer interactions. Communicate effectively with technicians and team members to ensure smooth workflow. Other duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and purpose of this role. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in technical support, general labor, or construction role is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Basic knowledge of tools and equipment with a willingness to learn. Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 100 lbs.) and perform physical labor. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in automatic pool cover installation, repair, or maintenance is preferred. Pool service experience is a plus. Background in the pool cover industry or related technical/construction sector. Additional Requirements Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. Travel will be required to and from job sites. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred. Slip-resistant footwear required, composite or steel toe shoes preferred. Eye Protection is required. Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions.
