It's a low turnover environment that offers a lot of flexibility.Some of the duties you'll be involved inWe are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in helping to manage and oversee the financial activities of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Financial Management:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and nonprofit accounting standards.
Help manage and oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
Reconcile bank and investment accounts monthly.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget.
Provide financial analysis and projections to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Track budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Grant Management:
Monitor and report on grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with donor restrictions and grant agreements.
Prepare financial reports for grantors and funding agencies as required.
Requirements
