Rapid will cover the cost of NYS 47 Hr Armed Guard Certification.About the RoleRapid Response Monitoring is looking for an Unarmed or Armed Corporate Security Officer (Full-Time) to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.Salary Range: $22 - $26 an hour (Based upon experience)Shift Hours: Overnight: 11:00PM - 7:30AMLocation: Onsite in Syracuse, NYAbout the Position
Ensure the facility is provided with high quality services to protect people and property
Maintain a security presence by patrolling both inside and outside of the facility
Monitoring security cameras
Detect and report safety concerns and potential risks
Required NYS Training and Qualifications
Must possess a current NYS Guard License
8 Hour Pre-assignment Training
16 Hours on The Job Training
8 Hour Annual in Service Training
8 Hour Annual Firearms Training
Qualifications
High School degree or equivalent
Prior experience as an armed or unarmed security officer working in a team environment
Ability to proactively identify problems, creatively develop and execute solutions
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to relate to and interact with other people in a friendly, professional manner
Excellent verbal communication skills
Preferred: Associate Degree
Preferred: Relevant weapons training (47-hour Firearms Pre-assignment)
Preferred: Valid New York State Pistol permit
Preferred: Current NYS Armed Guard License
COVID-19 Requirements
Must be fully vaccinated: 2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson, 2 weeks prior or more
