Job Summary: Perform various automated, semi-automated and manual procedures as defined by the Core Laboratory manual (encompasses all facets of Chemistry/Hematology workstations as deemed by supervisor). Perform routine Hematology and Chemistry testing following established policies and procedures. Performing appropriate related tasks in the Laboratory including QC, PM, Calibration, and quality assurance. Maintains records of testing including patient results, proficiency testing, quality control, instrument calibrations, inventory, pending logs and preventive maintenance procedures. Interact with providers to give test results, discuss results, and discuss laboratory procedures. Resolve problems in testing, procedures, or processes relating to the laboratory. Minimum Qualifications: Clinical Laboratory Technologist NYS license or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and 2 years clinical lab experience required. Candidates with less than 2 years clinical laboratory experience or with a NYS license or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician will be considered for appointment to a commensurate title and salary.
