We're seeking to recruit and develop geothermal heating & cooling technicians in the Finger Lakes Region as lead installers or apprentices (depending on experience and skills) to our team.
Qualified candidates will have:
Positive attitude and desire to work in a collaborative team environment
Basic mechanical and electrical skills and aptitude… and a desire to learn and take on more responsibility
Refrigeration systems training and/or experience are pluses, but not required. We are prepared to train you!
Job responsibilities include installing – mounting, wiring, and piping – and testing:
Heat pumps
Ground heat exchangers, aka “geothermal loops”
Ducted and ductless air handlers
Hydronic baseboard
Radiant floor heating systems
Radiators and fan convectors
New York State is committed to electrifying heating of all buildings in the state by replacing fossil fuel burning devices and systems with heat pumps. That monumental goal will require recruiting and training several hundred technicians over the next decade.
Lake Country Geothermal, founded in 2016 and based in Walworth, specializes in design, installation, and service of geothermal heating & cooling systems and hydronic distribution systems for homes and small businesses throughout the Finger Lakes Region (and beyond). In 2024, we intend to expand our geographic market well beyond FLR and our product offerings to also include commercial installations and air-sourced heat pumps.
