We are a 50 year old, growing, family owned and operated business in Rochester NY specializing in tool sharpening and grinding. We are looking to fill a position who’s responsibilities will include the following:
1) Surface grinding – We will train the qualified applicant to grind and sharpen long and sometimes heavy parts on CNC precision German grinders. Heavy lifting is sometimes required.
2) Tool grinding – We will train the qualified applicant to grind and sharpen small cutting tools on CNC and manual tool & cutter grinders.
3) Ability to operate tool room machines (Milling machine, lathe, band saw, drill press) would be a plus, but not required.
Personal requirements:
We are looking for somebody to join our family who has good mechanical ability and familiarity with precise measuring tools and is self-motivated, eager to learn, punctual, personable and positive.
