Altamar Laser, an equal opportunity employer is a small company in Batavia NY serving the manufacturing industry with specialized tubular metal product cutting and specialized laser fusion welding since 2004 within an 8000sq/ft facility in the Harvester Industrial Center.
Multi-axis CNC laser machine tools are programmed and setup to run small or large quantities of
tubular parts for many industries in the northeast and Midwest United States.
Hours: 7:00-3:30 M-F Part to Full time NO weekends NO overtime
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates NC machines in a production volume environment.
May include any or all of the following:
Check parts produced against the part drawing to insure tolerances are met and be
accountable for scrap parts.
Change and adjust machine parameters to accommodate different material dimensions
Perform operator intervened operations that are required by program sequences:
loading/unloading raw material, removing cut parts
Perform secondary operations such as tapping, counter sink, deburring, stacking
Banding of materials for shipping, moving material about the shop, assisting in unloading of
raw material and loading of outbound shipments.
OTHER MINOR DUTIES THAT MAY BE ASKED
Sweeping, cleaning, organizing, simple maintenance.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
No prior experience necessary
HS diploma is required, Trade school or college equivalent is helpful
Driver license required
Physically able to perform required tasks
The following abilities/traits/talent are a plus: Mechanical, woodwork, welding, fabrication,
mathematics, PC computer, positive attitude
