You make a positive difference every single day in the lives of our patients, their family members and visitors - going above and beyond to meet their needs with courtesy, kindness, respect and compassion.The Acute Surgical Unit specializes in the care of Neuro, Urology, ENT & Bariatric patients, both pre, but predominately post-operatively. Surgical procedures vary, but most commonly include craniotomies, spinal fusions and laminectomies, prostatectomies, and surgeries of the kidneys and bladder; in addition to laryngectomies and tracheotomies, gastric sleeves and bypasses.STATUS: Part Time (24 hours per week) LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital DEPARTMENT: Acute Surgical Unit (5400)SCHEDULE: Day/Night rotation, including weekends and holidays ATTRIBUTES:Compassionate, warm and patient focusedCritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervisionExceptional documentation skills and professional behaviorAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentRESPONSIBILITIES:Patient Satisfaction.
