Network Engineer

Description Olivia Quinlan from Robert Half is in search of a Network Engineer in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will work on designing, troubleshooting, installing, and configuring network hardware and software. You will also be directly interacting with customer environments including servers, switches, and other networking devices. This role also involves significant documentation, knowledge transfer, and on-site customer support. Responsibilities: Design and implement networking solutions to meet the needs of our clients Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues, including routing, speed, and QoS Install, configure, monitor, test, and maintain various network infrastructures Provide support for servers and cloud infrastructure such as Azure VMs, VPN Gateways, and Microsoft Intune Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Firewall Technologies, Active Directory, Remote access VPNs, VPN Technologies, Azure VM’s, Azure VPN, Windows Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc. Provide on-site customer support as needed Prepare detailed documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for clients.Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Network Engineer role or similar A+, Security+ and Network+ are required. Checkpoint CCSA, MCSE, AZ-104 and AZ-700 certifications are highly preferred. Palo Alto certification including PCNSA, PSNSE are a plus Proficiency in Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies Solid understanding of Computer Hardware and Configuration Management Ability to design and implement network infrastructures Experience with Active Directory and Remote access VPNs Familiarity with Windows Intune Familiarity with SonicWall, Palo Alto, Ubiquiti networking equipment Experience with Palo Alto Networks is desirable Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Willingness to keep up with the latest technological advancements in the field.Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
