Argon Props is seeking a full-time in-house Project Manager. We provide a broad range of services including design rendering, technical build drawing, CNC routing, and professional installation/deinstallation of custom props and sets for events/popups, retail, film and TV. We are located in Maspeth, Queens with over 5,000 sq ft of shop space.
This role involves coordinating projects, record keeping, staffing, and other administrative tasks. To ensure we are a good fit for each other, position will be an hourly rate for a period of 8 weeks. If all goes well, position will be salaried.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 Years of experience leading a team.
-Proficiency in reading blueprints and creating shop drawings
-Knowledge of construction and building materials
-Adeptness in providing written reports and direct feedback to clients/management
-Willingness to travel and work nights and weekends, as needed
-Possess working knowledge of Sketchup, Adobe Illustrator, and CAD software
-Proficiency in Google G Suite for Business and Asana or other Project Management apps
-Skilled planner, able to organize, delegate, assist in managing budget and schedule
-Ability to work collaboratively, in a team environment
-Have excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
-Demonstrate and maintain an effective and open dialogue with clients/management regarding job conditions, and any deviation in the direction of the project
-Be well-organized, excellent at communicating, positive, and professional
-Compile and organize documents and information pertaining to multiple on-going projects, ensuring budgets, and track that project milestones are being met
-Maintain proper communication channels with clients and Argon's internal departments for multiple on-going projects
-Communicate with department heads regarding staffing needs for upcoming projects.
-Participate in pre-production/kickoff meetings and periodic team alignment/check-in meetings
-Maintain production schedule and scheduling crew for builds, installs, and strikes
-Maintain schedule, create call sheets for projects, and be the main point of contact for crew
-Oversee collateral organization and warehousing related to a project
-Source and acquire project-related materials
-Oversee pack and wrap, manifests, and truck load-in
-Ensure company policies and procedures are followed, and support company culture and goals
-Coordinate and communicate with clients regarding install/strike, schedules and location logistics and specificities
-Coordinate pickups and drops-offs of materials/supplies
-Maintain crew roster and crew availability, and seek to expand the pool of candidates for various shop roles
-Problem-solve issues around crew scheduling and emergencies, and be available to address urgent matters as they arise
