MADE is a design/build company specializing in custom architectural design, construction management and specialty fabrication. Founded in 2002, MADE believes in integrating the architect and the builder at every stage of the creative process. We focus primarily on private residential homes and custom commercial projects within New York City and the surrounding area. Located in a Civil War-era warehouse on the historic piers of Red Hook, Brooklyn, MADE’s workshop includes a vibrant design studio attached to a 7,500 sq ft shop.

We are looking for a thoughtful and self-motivated Site Manager to be a jobsite lead for our Build Team. The Site Manager Position at MADE is a position dedicated to assisting the Build Project Manager and Director Of Construction to ensure the efficient and effective execution of all site-specific tasks and to provide additional oversight of subcontractor activities as required by the project. The site manager will report to the Construction Project Manager and Director Of Construction.

This is a salaried position with full benefits including Health Insurance, 401(k), and PTO.

Skills and experience we are seeking:

-62-Hour SST Card

-At least 5-8 years hands on experience in construction management position

-Extensive Knowledge of Interior Framing systems and Finish Carpentry

-Extensive knowledge of common building systems and components ( Steel, concrete, masonry, Mechanical Systems, Framing, Carpentry and Finishes)

-Ability to read and execute Construction Documents

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Proficient use of Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Project Management Software

-Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment

Administrative Responsibilities:

-Communicate and Coordinate onsite needs to the build project manager

-Maintain site safety protocols

-Assist in Coordination and execution of the site work plan

-Provide Coordination and layout of all building systems and components utilizing the provided Construction Documents

-Provide quality control during all subcontractor and MADEshop Installations

-Provide coordination and installation of Construction Aids as required by the project site

-Maintain site tool and materials inventory to align with project requirements

-Maintain project labor and material efficiency

Project Responsibilities:

-The efficient implementation of company labor and material resources to achieve the goals set out by the project staff and contract documents

-Maintenance of the Daily Site log

-Maintenance of the Daily Scaffold Log

-Maintenance of the Project Documents

-Maintenance of the project work site
