Work from home, $26/hr for 35 hours per week, 8:30 to 4:30 with hour lunch. Paid holidays and 2 weeks vacation per year.

We are a regional representative for 6 US based manufacturers.

This position has several facets.

A) Responding to incoming emails and phone calls for RFQ's (request for quotes), and order status inquiries. Interacting with the personnel at the manufacturers to get price quotes, and order status updates, and then relaying the information to the customers. For many products, we have price list guides where a p/n (part number) will be a string of letters and numbers, all of which correspond to a specific line on the price guide, then working up price quotes on MS .doc to .pdf to send to the customers. Dollar amounts must be precisely calculated and listed.

B) Order/Data Management - We receive order acknowledgements, ship notifications & company commission statements from the manufacturers. The position is responsible for logging the order acknowledgements, company commission amount, and estimated ship date. Then, when the ship notifications are received, to find the order on the spreadsheet and mark the ship date. Then when the manufacturer pays the company commission, to mark these as paid, and move to a 'closed' tab on the spreadsheet. There is a monthly report to be filled in based on this information.

C) We are slowly developing our website, including adding products to our online store. Often these are lists of 100 or more part number/description/price combinations. The position is responsible to help to input this information in order to build the backend of the website, with guidance.

D) For some of the products that we sell, we act as the distributor, so we buy from the manufacturer and sell to the customer. So for these orders we keep an additional spreadsheet showing customer's price, our price, our expenses (incoming freight, cc transaction costs, etc), so that the line total will show actual profit amount. This is a pre-formed spreadsheet, so just need to fill in the information and will then be automatically calculated.

E) For distribution orders, if customers are late to pay their invoice, the position is responsible to start with soft follow-ups, to be sure dots were connected, the invoice sent to the correct recipient etc. Then if they fall further past due, to slowly ramp up the rhetoric in the emails. We're dealing with professional companies, and there's never been any serious issues, so it always stays cordial and professional.

Full training is provided.

We are scheduling interviews for Tuesday 12/31. The position will start ideally on January 2nd, or asap based on selected candidate's availability if they need to give notice at their current job.
