Position: Office Clerk
Location: Greenpoint, Brooklyn (located right at the border of Brooklyn & Queens)
Job Type: Full-time preferred, flexible to work with part time based on experience.
Hours: Flexible and negotiable; expected start time around 8AM-9AM with end time around 4PM-5PM.
Pay: $18+ hourly; negotiable based on experience
About Us:
We are a small business specializing in construction and electrical work. We are looking for a new office clerk to join our company. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of secretarial and office clerk duties.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the office.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle correspondence.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments.
- Maintain and update office records, databases, and filing systems.
- Prepare and distribute memos, letters, and other documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient office operations.
Requirements:
- Bilingual (English & Chinese proficiency is required). PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
- Prior experience as a receptionist, office assistant, or other office position is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate with clients via email and phone
- Ability to adapt and learn new technological skills (basic systems).
