Ameristar Home Care Services is seeking a Full Time Receptionist to join our team of professionals and growing company.

Conveniently located in Forest Hills, NY, Ameristar Home Care Services, is a Licensed Home Care Services Agency and Fiscal Intermediary rooted in the communities and culture of the New York metropolitan area. Understanding what it takes to support the senior population across the continuum of health care needs, Ameristar Home Care Services stands ready with dedicated professionals and expert staff, and support resources to assist members and optimize their home health care.

We are looking for someone who is driven, and takes the initiative and complete tasks, and who has met and exceeded goals in prior experience. All applicants will be kept confidential.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Perform all duties related to the reception/switchboard including call and visitor handling.

Meet, greet and announce visitors in a professional manner.

Ensure visitors are identified in accordance with security & Covid-19 procedures.

Handle visitor office space requests as required

Monitor and update employee calendar throughout the day.

Daily Covid clearance procedures for staff

Proactively ensure that excellent housekeeping standards are maintained in common areas

Communicate and Liaise regularly with colleagues booking conference rooms to verify requirements and expedite changes.

Catering and coffee set up for client meetings

Assist with any special projects.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 1-3 years of previous Front Desk / Receptionist experience, preferably in a service industry.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Excellent organizational and administrative skills

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and Internet applications

Excellent written and verbal communications skills with superior telephone manner

Must be attentive to detail, accurate, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a high pressure, fast paced environment

Exceptional interpersonal skills

Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimum direction

Must be reliable/dependable

Must have previous customer service experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
