We are currently seeking a Data Entry Clerk to input information from paper documents into our database. The ideal candidate should be tech-savvy, a quick typist, and possess a sharp attention to detail. You will be reporting to a manager or a senior team member. A solid understanding of data confidentiality principles is essential. The company will depend on you to maintain accurate and up-to-date information that is easily accessible in our digital database.
Responsibilities:-
Convert information from paper documents into digital files or database systems using keyboards, data entry devices, or optical scanners.
Input data received directly from clients.
Generate spreadsheets containing extensive numerical data accurately.
Check data by cross-referencing it with original documents.
Refresh current data as needed.
Access data from the database or electronic files upon request.
Conduct regular backups to safeguard data.
Arrange and categorize paperwork after data entry to prevent loss.
Requirements and skills:-
Demonstrated experience as a data entry clerk
Quick typing abilities; familiarity with touch typing is highly desirable
Strong proficiency in word processing software and spreadsheets (such as MS Office Word and Excel)
Practical knowledge of office machinery and computer hardware, including peripheral devices
Fundamental understanding of databases
Proficient in English, both spoken and written, along with solid customer service skills
Exceptional attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent.
