Fast-paced specialty food manufacturer is looking to hire a highly motivated experienced self-managed shipper/receiver to be responsible for the shipment of all products and receiving of ingredients and packaging supplies.
Job Description:
-Assemble and prepare orders for shipment.
-Pull, pack, and load using FIFO method.
-Receive and stock ingredients and packaging supplies.
-Maintain an accurate log sheet, inventory of frozen finished products and packaging supplies.
-Participate in packing activity when necessary.
-Responsible for cleanliness of loading dock, warehouse and freezer.
Job requirements:
Ability to work in varying temperatures, such as freezer environment. PPE will be provided.
Ability to operate an electric pallet jack, and walk behind over-stacker.
Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Ability to meet safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to take and follow directions.
Ability to meet physical demands, able to push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to read item numbers, product names.
Ability to count mentally.
Ability to organize inventory in an ever-changing space.
Ability to work independently and as a team.
Must have good communication skills.
Must have math skills and be able to fill out forms.
Must be organized and be detail-oriented.
Must be reliable, personable, flexible, and adaptable.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Computer literate (must be able to update an Excel spread sheet).
High School diploma preferred.
Long term employment at a job preferred.
Shift: Monday – Friday: 7am to 3:30pm (over time available, a few Saturdays in the fall/winter)
Hourly rate: up to $25/hr
