We're an indie book publishing house located in NYC, seeking a talented Content Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for a creative professional with a passion for books and digital media to contribute to diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and layout of books using Adobe InDesign.
- Typesetting and translating content for multi-language publications.
- Collaborating with AI tools like ChatGPT for content creation and editing.
- Designing book covers and producing mockups.
- Developing engaging sales pitches, pitch decks, and social media advertisements.
- Crafting compelling marketing materials in Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and/or InDesign.
- Producing insightful Q&A sessions and conducting author interviews.
- Managing photography sessions and video projects.
- Undertaking various writing, copyediting, and content enhancement projects.
Additional Duties:
- Participation in daily Zoom calls and (in the future) weekly in-office meetings is essential.
- Contributing to brainstorming sessions and assisting with cover design concepts.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Premiere, and Photoshop
- Some experience in book design, content creation, and digital marketing is a BIG PLUS!
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate about literature, technology, and innovative content creation methods
Position Details:
- Part-time role starting at 5 hours per day, with a competitive hourly rate of $20
- Position initially remote, transitioning to part-time/full-time in-office work within a few months
- Opportunity for a full-time salary contract with a raise and benefits after a 4-month evaluation period.
