Full Time Studio Assistant Position
A professional artist who is making sculpture and paintings with a studio in Gowanus seeks full time studio assistants.
Ideal candidates are craft oriented and comfortable with hands on physical work. Must be punctual, organized, outgoing and able to adapt to a variety of different tasks daily.
IDEAL SKILLS
- carpentry (table saw, chop saw, jigsaw, circular saw etc)
- painting, color mixing, color matching
- hand sewing
-photography
-photoshop and premiere
-research/administrative
-art handling/moving
The studio is in walking distance of F, G and R trains. The work schedule is Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm with compensation at $19.00 per hour. Schedule and pay are non negotiable. Please do not apply if you cannot work full time and do not plan on making a long term commitment.
