We are looking for a Head of Adjudication.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as the Head of Adjudication at our Migrant Legal-Aid site in Brooklyn, NYC. The Head of Adjudication will be responsible for overseeing and managing the adjudication process, ensuring fairness, and impartiality in resolving migrant cases. We strongly encourage multi-lingual candidates to apply, as proficiency in languages spoken by our client population is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the adjudication process for migrant cases.
Develop and implement adjudication procedures and protocols.
Provide leadership and supervision to Case Reviewers/Adjudicators.
Collaborate with Legal Supervisors to address complex adjudication issues.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in adjudication, immigration law, or a related field.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Multi-lingual proficiency preferred. Please note, the primary languages preferred for bi-lingual or multi-lingual representatives are Arabic, French, Spanish, Russian, and Wolof.
