Payroll & Benefits Manager for midtown law firm
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM (Hybrid/Remote)
Responsibilities:
Compile all payroll data, conduct pre-process review, and ensure transmission of payrolls for all bi-monthly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls of the firm in an accurate, timely manner and in accordance with established payroll processing calendars/timelines.
· Processes incentive, bonus, and off-cycle payroll when necessary.
· Communicate with Professional Employer Organization (‘PEO’) to ensure and enable accurate, timely processing of payroll.
· Administer 401(k) communication, contributions, loan payments, and electronic funds transfer in compliance with the plan design and federal regulations.
· Provide administrative support by processing payroll-related expense reimbursements.
Qualifications:
· Accounting-related degree or 5 years of relevant work experience required.
· Processed payroll for at least 100+ employees with different taxation classifications.
· Familiar with processing payroll with PEOs; exposure to formula-driven incentive programs
· Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Strong understanding of State and Federal taxes; well-versed in FMLA, LOA, and Worker’s Compensation
