Sky Dental + Sky Dental Kids, a modern, state-of-the-art office located in the heart of Lower Manhattan's Financial District, is seeking an exceptional Dental Biller to join our top-rated dental practice and team.
Qualified candidates must possess the following job requirement criteria:
2 or more years of direct dental billing experience in a private dental practice
Experience working in a fast-paced environment (emphasis on multitasking)
In depth understanding of PPO insurance, including both in-network and out-of-network insurance benefits
Current knowledge with ADA codes and policy changes.
Strong understanding of reading radiographs, dental procedures, tooth numbers/letters and familiarity with medical cross coding for dentistry
Extremely organized and tech savvy (we are a modern, paperless office)
Understanding of treatment plans and associated dental treatment terminology
Exceptional customer service skills (must enjoy speaking to and working with others)
High school or GED level educational requirement (Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred)
Job Duties:
A/R reports management
Reviewing patient balances
Outstanding claims management (over 30 days)
Patient schedule review for account accuracy
Pre-authorizations management
Collections management (3rd party vendor)
Orthodontic payment plan management
Position reports directly to our Billing & Operations Manager
Practice management software - Open Dental
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9a - 5p (40 hours/week)
Compensation:
$25-30/hour + monthly collections bonus
Yearend bonus
