Cyclone Bagels is looking for a Store Manager who will be responsible for making sure that the shop is set up for success every day. The Store Manager oversees every aspect of service, food quality and is responsible for maintaining labor schedules, service standards and guest relations. The responsibilities also include, placing orders, assisting the staff when needed, and embracing a positive work environment.
Position: Store Manager
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Schedule: Thursday – Sunday; 7am – 3pm AND Monday; 6am – 2pm
Salary: $65k-75k/yr.
-Open and/or close the shop
-Be knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu
-Maintain POS system with all the updates (number of items, shortages, 86’s items, etc)
-Daily walk through to inspect shop and report any issues to manager
-Supervise that all side work is completed before, during and after each barista shift
-Greets guest entering and leaving the shop
-Completes daily reports of sales, waste and completes recaps for the day
-Maintain a clean and tidy work area and dining areas (indoor and outdoor)
-Ensure all displays are always full, tidy and with the correct signage
-Accurately process all cash and credit payments along with cash report and deposits
-Ensure all FOH and BOH equipment is cleaned and maintained
-Be physically present in the café during service to ensure service standards are met
-Guide, direct and train FOH staff to have comprehensive knowledge of the menu, and service standards
-Observe the flow of service, providing assistance when necessary. Be aware of any bottlenecks or overwhelmed service -
areas and assist in real time
-Make sure that all needed supplies are on the floor at all times
-Maintain a healthy, happy and productive work environment for employees to foster loyalty and dedication
Requirements: Bachelor degree, preferably in hospitality industry or similar. Professional with 2+ years of experience in management in a similar position and previously managed at least 4 employees. Be familiar with a POS system, Toast preferred. Be familiar with Cash handling procedures (open/close registers). Able to multitask efficiently. Ability to listen and communicate effectively. Strong attention to detail Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. Ability to remain standing for the entire length of shift. Competent to work in a computer with email, ordering and Office Programs Reliable leader to help and inspire others to achieve their best.
