Campbell & Co. started out over ten years ago as Campbell Cheese & Grocery, a family-run neighborhood specialty store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. At the end of 2024 we opened our second location in Greenpoing, Brooklyn, across from McGoldrick Park. We pride ourselves on having a thoughtful, respectful team and do our best to maintain a supportive, low-stress work environment. We are hiring experienced, friendly and reliable baristas and retail/register staff at our Greenpoint location. We are a busy place so someone who likes to keep busy, can work as a team, loves cheese and artisanal food and beverages and has great people skills, this is the place for you! As a growing business there is tremendous professional and financial growth for the right candidates! Could be full or part time, but candidates should have some flexibility with scheduling due to the fluctuating demands on a hospitality based business. That being said, these are not seasonal jobs, we are looking to add to our core teams! Descriptions will be expanded on during the interview.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
ALL BARISTAS & RETAIL TEAM:
● Work the register, help restock/price, light cleaning tasks. Work with our team to get the daily tasks done.
● Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization behind the counter, ensuring that all DOA and DOH requirements are being met.
● Handle customer complaints quickly and courteously.
● Perform opening and closing duties as well as side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned.
● Monitor waste and other inefficiencies—and think outside of the box to find solutions.
BARISTAS:
● Work Espresso Bar, while upholding incredible customer service—service that’s friendly, down-to-earth, accommodating and aims to cultivate regulars.
● When not making drinks, work the register, help restock/price, light cleaning tasks. Work with our team to get the daily tasks done.
● Ensure the top quality and presentation of all beverages.
REQUIREMENTS
ALL BARISTAS & RETAIL TEAM:
● A passion for giving great customer service.
● Self-motivated and driven to exceed expectations.
● A flexible schedule (mornings and weekends…plus holidays)
● A team player with a willingness to jump in and help with all tasks.
● A quick-thinking and decisive problem solver.
BARISTAS:
● Baristas- Candidates must have 1 year experience with La Marzocco machines and be comfortable with alternative milks and frothing techniques as well as latte art and technical preventative troubleshooting skills for grinders and other equipment.
● Extensive and ever-expanding knowledge of COFFEE.
