The Elk Nolita is hiring for a prep cook to join our team. The right candidate interested in this position should have at least 2 years of experience working prep/dishes, and can maintain speed and efficiency while upholding quality on all dishes and cleanliness in the workplace.

This is a FULL TIME position, 40 HOURS per week.
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH shift 7am-3pm.
Weekend Availability is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
-Punctuality for all scheduled shifts
-Opening and set up of food prep station in a timely manner
-Must demonstrate suitable knife skills when prepping
-Maintaining cleanliness and order in kitchen, cafe, and outdoor seating areas
-Receiving orders, managing waste
-Preparing and packaging dishes from Café Menu with correct presentation
-Maintaining DOH requirements for food/refrigeration and continuously checking the quality of ingredients
-Strong communication with the lead line cook, kitchen manager and prep leads
-Must be able to read and understand food ticket orders in english
-Working in all kitchen stations as needed for the day
Our menu encompasses a variety of cultural influences, with only the freshest ingredients utilized in each dish.
