Responsibilities include the promotion and sale of venue spaces along with food and beverage offerings while maintaining effective marketing and branding as it relates to events.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research markets to identify opportunities for events (Sales/Cold Calls).
Attend networking events for solicitation of new business.
Assist in hosting monthly on site networking events for maintenance of current relationships and development of new relationships.
Assist in developing new and maintaining current relationships with local hotels sales team to generate business for specific property.
Answer events department phone lines and filter incoming leads.
Input all leads into TripleSeat ie: location hold, client contact information, etc.
Create event inquiries and contracts following the department parameters.
Create and update all contracts and BEOs as requested by client.
Create daily custom menus for all events.
Prepare daily event pack for Management team to effectively execute events.
Provide on site assistance as needed at events.
Assist and oversee day of event setup and logistics if necessary.
Charge Event deposits via TripleSeat for all contracts; Maintain Deposit Received and Refund Log.
Manage time line for Events Marketing Plan
Complete monthly, bi-yearly reports and create expense reports.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2 years experience in Events, PR or Marketing
Enthusiastic, organized and responsible
Experience and willingness to learn
Previous experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook a plus
Pleasant demeanor and phone voice presence to call perspective clients
Able to multi task and able to remain calm in the face of adversity and high stress environments
Very well organized
Proven ability to meet deadlines
