Momoya Chelsea, a well-established Japanese restaurant, is seeking for a part-time Maître D’/ Host with professional demeanor and positive attitude.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) supervising front of house staff, reporting to a manager, handling guest’s complaints, greeting guests, seating guest, managing guest wait list, and performing cashier duties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year+ experience in NYC casual upscale restaurant
- Preferable knowledge of sushi and Japanese food
- Good understanding of front of house restaurant operations and customer service
- Work well under pressure
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to work independently and have good judgment
- Must be available to work Mon - Wed Lunch shift and Thur L+D shift .
