The Gutter - Pizza Chef / Kitchen Manager
The Gutter is looking for a skilled pizza chef and kitchen manager for our Lower East Side location. You need to have a creative drive, be hands on, and not be afraid to get on the line. You must have a minimum of 5 years experience. We use a brick style oven, and you must be great at making both Neapolitan and New York style pizzas. A head for business, running a team, creating specials and understanding the customer experience are a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- NYC Food Handler Certification required
- Make top quality pizza and other menu items
- Oversee Kitchen Operations
- Schedule and Hire Kitchen Staff
- Inventory and Ordering
- Create a positive working environment for all employees
- Creating Specials and New Menu Items with input from GM and Upper Management
- Work with the GM and Upper Management to establish and follow a budget and SOPs
- Monitor and help maintain equipment
- Demonstrate integrity, tact, diplomacy and a commitment to company values
- Bilingual - English / Spanish a plus
