We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to join our artisan bakery based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years experience working in a production bakery, managing a team, ordering inventory, scheduling staff, and planning out production calendar.
The ideal candidate is:
- a natural leader, professional, and has experience running a kitchen
- ability to bake and learn all facets of our specific baked good production
- management experience with staff, having an intuitive approach to team building
- punctual, reliable, with good problem solving skills
-Ability to weigh, mix and bake products based on recipes and kitchen standards
-Open to learning new techniques, such as vegan, gluten-free baking and wild fermentation
-Attention to detail, thoughtful, organized in your work
-Comfortable with working for 8+ hours, standing, lifting up to 50#, packing, portioning etc
-Must be eligible to work in the U.S and has a food handlers license
-Can move through challenges with positivity, work together as a team when problems arise
Pay starts at 26per hour DOE, and depending on experience can be higher.
This can be a salaried position, after a 3 month trial. Perks include daily healthy lunch and breakfast, end-of-year bonus.
