This role within the Sell-Side Foundations team will have the exciting remit of overseeing a group of professionals developing the key order, transaction and position technology of the TOMS Sell-Side Fixed Income solution. First, you will create a vision and strategy to build out the trade capture infrastructure of the future for Sell-Side. You will ensure that this strategy encompasses the order, transaction and position data model and architecture, how they interface to the Enterprise Product Platform and with middle, back office and regulatory services. Using this vision, you will lead a team to create and execute a roadmap against the strategy, constructing a full plan, tracking risks, issues and milestones to ensure all aspects of the build are covered. Operating in this influential role will require you to develop relationships with senior level clients and your peers in product management and technology to ensure your product meets the overall strategy and business goals of Enterprise Products. TOMS aims to provide a streamlined workflow between sales, trading and operations, while providing a full audit and the details necessary to furnish downstream services. Today, TOMS provides a key function in the pre-trade, in-trade and post-trade world, which will undoubtedly grow under increasing global regulatory scrutiny. This is a key role due to the importance of increased transparency to the whole trade flow and will provide the opportunity to provide innovative order management solutions to Sell-Side fixed income clients.We’ll trust you to:
Drive the vision and strategy for Sell-Side order, transactions and positions.
Own the roadmap and ensure deliverables and dependencies are monitored to confirm they are delivered on time, to specification, and that all development milestones are met
Run the day-to-day business of the product group, managing operational aspects of the operation
Manage and mitigate risks to ensure successful delivery
Understand Enterprise Product Platform and how Sell-Side interacts with them
Comprehend where Sell-Side sits in the wider Enterprise picture and ensure the needs upstream and downstream are clearly understood
Understand architecture of our clients and explain how Sell-Side fits into their ecosystem and solves for their technical challenges
Present the vision, value proposition, and development progress to senior management
Work collaboratively with other Product Managers to ensure a smooth integration across functions in Sell-Side, Enterprise and across Bloomberg
Assist in responding to RFIs and RFPs specific to TOMS solutions and across the enterprise
Present our solutions to clients, senior management and our sales team
Train and ensure our sales team are equipped to sell our solutions
Own the quality of the solution, by collaborating with our QA team to test the solution meets your requirements
You’ll need to have:
Proven track record in product development in Financial Technology
Strong technical track record, building technical solutions for Sell-Side firms
Strong data model and API development
Ability to articulate functional architecture of a system with Tier 1 Sell-Side firms
Leadership and management skills to empower as well as hold a diverse and passionate high performing team accountable for success
Deep domain expertise of fixed income instruments
Understanding of sales, trader and operations workflows
Highly motivated, consensus builder, collaborates well in a team of Product Managers
