HIRING JUNIOR STRUCTURAL INSPECTOROpportunity to work for a top-tier national firm that specializes in parking consulting, design, planning, and restoration. Description:The Structural Engineer will be performing scaffolding, façade, and field inspections. Additionally they will report to the Professional Engineers, where they will receive hands on training and development. The Structural Engineer will be trained on parking structure inspections, perform scaffold drops and design repairs of roofs. This person will be impacting projects through out the five boroughs of New York City and some locations in Long Island. Must Have:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or a related field
Reliable transportation (own vehicle)
3-5 years of experience as a Structural Engineer preforming façade inspections, building inspections, and restoration inspections
Scaffolding Experience
Experience with structural analysis and report writing
Proficiency with structural repair detailing
AutoCAD
Microsoft Excel
OSHA certification
Responsibilities:-Façade, Building, and Restoration inspections for projects throughout the five boroughs and occasional travel to Long Island-Performing condition assessments, scaffolding duties, investigations, field testing, and construction observation-Work with the team of Engineers conducting investigations, analysis of field data, structural analysis, design repair alternatives, and maintenance solutions for plazas, building envelopes, roofs, and other types of built structures-Technical design, detailing, calculations and specification of structural repairs and new structural design on restoration projects-Technical reports, field reports, and other collaboration with clients and the design team-Working with the Professional Engineer on analysis of field data, structural analysis, AutoCAD drafting's and detailing, and developing repair alternatives-Train and develop under Professional Engineers learning the design and inspection of parking structures and garagesSkills:Structural engineering, Structural Inspection, Scaffolding, facade, autocad, microsoft excel, osha, building inspection, inspection, restoration, structural analysis, Revit, structural designAdditional Skills & Qualifications:
