Through our Street to Home outreach program and transitional housing resources, we help people get, and stay, on the path to a permanent home.Senior Payroll AdministratorReporting to the Payroll Manager, the Senior Payroll Administrator supports the accurate and timely processing and administration of payroll. The Senior Payroll Administrator helps ensure the accuracy of the payroll and makes adjustments as needed. The Senior Payroll Administrator is a resource for staff with questions and changes.This position has a 35-hour work week.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer the preparation and processing of payroll. This includes reviewing and ensuring accuracy, investigating discrepancies, and verifying that transactions comply with policies and procedures Maintain compliance with city, state, federal, wage processing and withholding regulations Partner with the Payroll Manager to identify issues and streamline processes utilized by Payroll, Human Resources, and other departments to ensure proper workflow and maintenance of employee records Review timesheets, work charts, wage computation, deductions, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies Verify hours worked, and pay adjustments; post the information into the payroll system Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts and submit them to appropriate departments Conduct payroll pre-transmission review and reconciliation of payroll Respond to federal, state, and local agency requests for wage information Coordinate with the Payroll Manager to plan responses to internal/external payroll and tax audits Assist with quarterly and year-end reconciliations Respond to employees’ questions and inquiries about pay and provide support for changes and corrections Perform other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of payroll experience for exempt and non-exempt staff Minimum 5 years of experience working with payroll software Detail oriented, able to meet challenging deadlines Experience using Ceridian/Dayforce payroll processing preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams Exceptional customer service skills (verbal and written)EOE/M/F/Vet/DisabledOther details
