Venable LLP's Patent Prosecution and Counseling group seeks a patent agent with a background in aerospace engineering and engine technology to join the group working exclusively on technology prosecution matters in the Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, Los Angeles or San Francisco office. The qualified candidate is a registered patent agent with examining experience at the U.S. PTO or patent drafting experience in a law firm setting. The ideal candidate is seeking an opportunity to use their deep technical knowledge to work exclusively on patent prosecution and holds undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science. Strong preference for previous experience as a patent examiner. Industry experience is a plus. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, and sharp analytical ability. All submissions must include a brief cover letter indicating office of interest, and undergraduate, graduate school, and law school transcripts as applicable.
