Job DescriptionMemorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking to hire afull-time, licensed Lead Physical Therapist (PT)to join our outstanding team of rehabilitation professionals. At MSK, we offer world class training within our rehabilitation service focusing on opportunities to develop innovative, therapeutic programs for a diverse patient population. Our highly talented team assists patients throughout their continuum of care focusing on improved quality of life, overall function and independent management as needed. We are looking for an individual passionate about patient-centered treatment, teamwork, and best practice which results in an exceptional patient experience. Attention to detail, dedication to individualized care, and participation in a team approach is what MSK therapists provide with each interaction. You will:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments of rehabilitative needs. Based on assessment findings, develop individualized patient goals and treatment plans.
Provide highly skilled physical therapy services to adult patients in an oncology setting utilizing evidenced-based therapeutic interventions to maximize patient outcomes.
Document all clinical activities and maintain statistical records per department guidelines.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members, including the patient and their family, to ensure optimal patient care.
Engage in projects and activities that support and advance institutional and departmental mission and goals.
Participate in mentorship, both as a me ntor and mentee, through various learning opportunities through co-treatments, special interest groups, journal clubs, and in-services.
Provide leadership in collaboration with management to promote smooth delivery of rehabilitation therapy services for the site.
You are:
Flexible with strong time management/organizational skills
Effective in verbal and written communication including computer skills
Detail and team oriented
Invested in mentorship both in learning and sharing of clinical knowledge
You have:
New York PT license required
Minimum of 4 years clinical practice as a licensed PT strongly preferred
Acute care and/or oncology experience strongly preferred
Lymphedema and pediatric experience beneficial
Schedule:Hours vary between 6a-7:30p, including weekends (subject to change)
