We are looking for innovative problem-solvers with a passion for turning scientific research into commercial, business value. The focus of your role will be to:

Advance the field of IoT/Ubicomp and related topics in both algorithms and applications

Provide novel research solutions to problems faced by internal project teams

Work with other researchers to document your findings in scientific papers

Contribute to JPMC's IP by pursuing necessary protections of generated IP

Key Qualifications/Skills:

A Master's or Ph.D. degree in computer science, physics, math, engineering or related fields

5+ years of experience with one or more of the following domains/topics

Internet of Things (IoT)

Ubiquitous Computing (Ubicomp)

Mobile Computing

Sensing Systems

Signal Processing

Machine Learning

Privacy & Security

Cloud Computing / Networking

Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)

Strong system implementation skills and/or mathematical/theoretical background.

Experience in scientific technical writing, as well as grant applications or research proposals

Working knowledge of common research evaluation frameworks and techniques

Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills and demonstrated research ability

Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings to technical/non-technical audience

No prior experience in financial markets required
