Maintaining historical records by filing documents
Overseeing work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets
Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing
Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections
Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close Requirements - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
High school diploma or equivalent, AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
5+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
Human Resources (HR) Administration experience preferred
Strong familiarity with full charge bookkeeping
Practical knowledge of Analysis planning
General familiarity with Accounting Functions
Full charge bookkeeping experience
Legal Advice experience
QuickBooks Pro experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting cycle
Adeptness in Accounting Entries
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Background in payroll preferred
Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
Proficiency with Excel and Peachtree
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
