Description We are recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join our team in the Credit Union industry, located in New York, New York. This role is essential in processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. You will also be expected to monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary action to collect delinquent payments.Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner Monitor customer credit accounts for any irregularities Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting process to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of reporting Develop ad hoc complex models in Excel when third-party models cannot be used Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement or risk mitigation Collaborate with the Accounting team during the monthly close process by providing monthly margin analysis and rate volume analysis Prepare monthly reporting and analyses for management and board reporting Establish and maintain working relationships with third-party advisory firms engaged in support of ALM and Investment strategies.Skills: Proficient in Accounting Software Systems, CapEx, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, and Great Plains (GPAC) Knowledgeable in Accounting Functions, Budget Processes, Expense Reporting, and Finance. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Financial Analyst or related role within a Credit Union or similar financial institution Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience in CapEx decision-making processes Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and other ERP Solutions Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) software Proficiency in using the About Time software Solid understanding of Accounting Functions Experience in Budget Processes Familiarity with Expense Reporting procedures Strong understanding of Finance principles and practices Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Relevant certifications such as CFA, CPA, or CMA would be an advantage.
