Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class.As a Risk Management - Financial Institutions Group - Insurance - Analyst you works with a client base of leading asset managers, banks, broker dealers, hedge funds, insurance companies, specialty finance, and other non-bank financial institutions. The Insurance team is looking for an Analyst with strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting and corporate finance, and strong teamwork skills. New members joining the team develop the analytical skills needed to evaluate, assess, and document client creditworthiness as well as structure and negotiate new transactions/requests.Job Responsibilities

Manage assigned a portfolio of clients with responsibility for performing ongoing credit analysis and client exposure management

Develop a well-informed forward looking credit view of your client's business and JPMorgan's activity by staying current on industry trends, financial performance, and capital markets needs

Communicate your view by preparing and presenting credit approval memos in connection with credit origination and renewals.

Attend on-site or remote client diligence meetings

Process transactions and annual reviews in JPM's credit system by coordinating with middle office and business partners

Prepare and present periodic portfolio reviews to senior credit executives and business partners

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

A natural passion to learn and an inquisitive personality

Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work well in a team environment

Strong sense of accountability and ownership of tasks

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Capable of understanding, describing and debating complex concepts

Ability to prioritize among competing projects and deliver work in a timely manner

Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word software

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

2-3 years experience in Insurance underwriting, or comparable experience

Completion of a bank's formal credit training program

Corporate finance and accounting coursework
