Our client, a leading utility company, is hiring an Application Architecture & Design consultant on a contract basis.
Work Location New York, NY Summary •Enterprise-level Cisco ISE configuration and troubleshooting. •Perform day to day engineering and operations tasks on Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) and Access Control System (ACS) to include installation, upgrades, configuration and troubleshooting. •Participate with .1X deployment on Cisco and Polycom PVOIP hones company-wide. •Review and deploy all application upgrades and perform health checks. •Troubleshooting Routing/Switching, wireless LAN controllers and VPN issues. •Onsite and remote troubleshooting Network layer 2 and layer 3. •Data analysis skills and competence in MS Word, Visio and Excel. •Work with ServiceNow tickets and ensure closure as per SLA. Skills & Requirements To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: •Minimum of 5 years of Cisco ISE experience. •Experience configuring and troubleshooting .1X authentication for Computers and IP Phones. •Experience configure and troubleshooting policy components, authentication and authorization profiles in Cisco ISE. •Configure device administration policies using TACACS+ in Cisco ISE. •Experience troubleshooting Network layer 2 and layer 3. •Knowledge of network applications and protocols including Splunk, RADIUS, SNMP, SYSLOG, TACACS, DNS, DHCP, IPSec, NAT, ACLs/dACLs. •LDAP understanding. •Knowledge of Wide and Local Area Networks, including maintaining and troubleshooting network hardware (Cisco desired). •Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication abilities. •Knowledge of network routing and switching concepts. •Knowledge of IT concepts, OS, application support and network management. •Intermediate or advanced Linux skills. •Good consultative and communication skills, analytical ability, decisiveness, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management, staff and vendors. •Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to understand the business and technical needs of the client as well as foster customer relationship building and deliver outstanding customer service. •Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users; ability to work effectively with customers. •Candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, support multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize work to meet and or exceed established service levels and be dependable. •Strong time management, technical and analytical skills required. •Ability to think logically and creatively in problem solving, and should know when to escalate a problem. •Contributes individually with supervision and as part of a team. The following are not required for this position but would be considered as a valuable asset in a potential candidate. •Bachelor's degree, with preference in the computer related field, or equivalent combination of education/ 3-5 years of experience. •Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching or Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA). •Other certifications are a plus.- Apply Now
