Job Description
Lola and tots is looking to fill our Teacher position. Our goal is for children to develop socialization skills through learning and sharing by making connections with one another. Learning is also conducted bilingually in both Spanish and English for children aged 12 months-4 years old.
Responsibilities
Present and amplify engaging thematic lesson plans and activities
Maintain high energy levels throughout to encourage student engagement
Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling/read-aloud, educational play, dramatic play, art, music, etc.) to teach children
Strengthen emotional intelligence by contributing to the healthy, mental, and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate to the next level of education
Guide children to resolve issues and act as a mediator between children as needed
Serve as a positive role model to children
Treat children in a positive manner that encourages individuality and positive self-esteem
Provide a safe and secure environment where children feel comfortable
Ensure cleanliness of the surrounding environment and maintain healthy boundaries between others
Keep track of learning materials and supplies for restocking purposes
Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities:
Supervise children in a community setting.
Help children with transitions within the program.
Responsible for ensuring children are safe and supported.
Must be able to work Monday-Friday 9am-1pm.
