We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant/Teacher to join
our team and provide a nurturing and enriching environment for young children. The ideal
candidate will assist in the daily operations of the daycare facility, ensuring the safety, well-
being, and development of each child under their care. They will collaborate with other staff
members to create and implement age-appropriate activities, maintain a clean and organized
environment, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians. This role requires patience,
creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and engage with children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
2. Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing developmentally appropriate activities
and lessons.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes social, emotional, and
cognitive development.
4. Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly daycare space, including sanitizing toys
and equipment.
5. Monitor children's progress and behavior, providing feedback to parents/guardians as
needed.
6. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive team
environment.
7. Follow daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
8. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's daily activities,
progress, and any concerns.
9. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as required.
10. Serve as a positive role model for children, demonstrating respect, patience, and
empathy in all interactions.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework or
degree preferred.
2. Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar
setting.
3. Understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood
education.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
5. Patient, nurturing, and compassionate demeanor with a genuine love for working with
children.
6. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
effectively.
7. Reliable, responsible, and punctual, with a commitment to maintaining a professional
work ethic.
8. First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
9. Ability to pass a background check and provide references from previous employers or
educators.
