Temp -Loan Workout Consultant
12 month position
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the loan workout function with focus on the commercial real estate loans. He/she will report to the head of risk management department and support the loan workout officer in the implementing the Branches’ loan workout policies and procedures:
Manage classified accounts and credit files;
Manage relationship with agent banks and other banks in the syndicate;
Monitor the development of the subject properties and others in the area;
Perform initial review of classified accounts;
Determine whether or not the classified accounts need to be restructured under the particular situation;
Devise action plans for classified accounts;
Manage and coordinate actions on Loan Workouts;
Propose renewal or extension for existing classified accounts;
Recommend further downgrading a classified account with sufficient loan loss reserve for the account being provided;
Prepare monthly “Watch List” report for classified accounts;
Develop and implement strategies and plans to recover charge-off loans;
Prepare a monthly progress report on charge-off loans recovery;
Arrange a Loan Workout committee meeting once a month or upon necessary with a minute being prepared afterward;
Coordinate with the Loan Administration Section regarding the LWO related transactions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
College graduate or equivalent experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in CRE lending or related areas;
Fluent in Chinese is a plus.
