We are a staffing firm in Midtown looking to hire an accounting/payroll associate for our accounting and HR team. Responsibilities include:
Time sheet processing- screen and process hundreds of weekly temp time-sheets into our billing and payroll systems for weekly payroll. Follow up on any discrepancies
Generate weekly invoices and process them in QuickBooks
Work with Back Office team on collections/agings
Upload weekly payrolls into our payroll system and reconcile reports. Assist with tax notices and following up on new payroll account registrations.
Help respond to UI claim notices
Help Back Office team with new onboardings/screening new hire documents.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Accounting or related field Preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years payroll experience, preferably with hourly temporary employees in multiple states and multiple entities. Experience with payroll systems both processing and reporting payroll.
Some experience with AR, invoicing and credit memos processing/reconciling, helpful if has experience in staffing agency billing of hourly workers.
Quick-books experience helpful.
Basic excel skills- pivot tables, sumif, vlookups etc. Data re-formatting e.g concat helpful.
