Req Number 129118Job DescriptionDevelops, implements, and monitors hospital and safety management programs for multiple sites. Ensures site compliance to federal, state and local regulations and accreditation standards.Job Responsibility
Monitors hospital and safety management programs based on evaluation of organizational expertise, applicable laws, regulations, and accepted practice; ensures compliance to federal, state and local requirements.
Manages the ongoing process to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement in environment of care management programs.
Submits reports for hospital administration and outside regulatory agencies as required.
Consults with management and staff on a wide variety of safety issues, policies, and concerns including waste management, hazardous material control, and security issues.
Monitors effectiveness of safety committee recommendations; maintains safety manuals as required.
Acts as safety educator: develops and conducts training programs covering all areas associated with site safety, i.e., facility environment, disaster preparedness, emergency preparedness, and new programs or regulations.
Responds to and examines safety concerns/issues.
Oversees compliance with certification aspects associated with regulatory agencies.
Coordinates safety inspections in accordance with applicable laws and organization policy.
Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification
Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
