Position Overview:

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Blue Chip Medical Reviews, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our medical review team by preparing and assisting with patient evaluations, managing medical records, and ensuring that our clients receive the most accurate and timely assessments. You will work directly with healthcare providers and support administrative tasks in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Support & Interaction:

Assist in scheduling patient appointments for medical reviews and assessments.

Coordinate communication between healthcare providers, clients, and patients.

Prepare patients for medical reviews, including obtaining relevant medical history and documentation.

Clinical Support:

Assist in reviewing and preparing patient medical records for analysis, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patient charts, and assisting with medical procedures when required.

Administer basic tests and screenings in accordance with medical guidelines.

Medical Record Management:

Organize, update, and maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Ensure proper documentation and submission of test results, medical notes, and other necessary records.

Assist with preparing reports and summaries for medical reviewers and insurance professionals.

Administrative Duties:

Schedule and coordinate meetings, medical reviews, and consultations.

Communicate with insurance providers, legal teams, and healthcare professionals regarding the status of reviews and assessments.

Assist in the preparation and submission of medical review reports.

Compliance & Confidentiality:

Adhere to all healthcare and industry regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times and follow data protection protocols.

Ensure that all medical reviews and processes meet regulatory and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

Certification:

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with a valid certification from an accredited program (e.g., AAMA, AMT, or NCCT).

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a medical assistant, ideally in a clinical or medical review environment.

Experience with medical documentation, patient interaction, and clinical procedures preferred.

Skills:

Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care standards.

Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical record management software.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with medical office software and scheduling tools.

Ability to use remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, etc.) for virtual team communications.

Basic knowledge of insurance processes and medical review protocols is an advantage.
