VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR A RESEARCH STUDY AT STONY BROOK Clinical Research Center
We want to see if the medication Dexamethasone (an FDA approved drug used to treat inflammation) vs. a Placebo (sugar pill) can change how someone responds to stress.
A potential subject:
Needs to be a heavy drinker (Male or Female, Age 18-65)
Able to stop drinking for 5 days prior to the study
Spend approx. 30 mins per day for 5 days on Zoom to complete questionnaires with a staff member
Complete a 5- hour lab session following a week -long abstinence from alcohol to measure cortisol levels and take assessments.
Paid compensation for your time and travel.
