Job Title: Assistant General Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Bridgehampton, NY

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Arthur & Sons NY Italian, a new restaurant in Bridgehampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take that next step!

Responsibilities:

Effectively manage team members, including all FOH & BOH departments, to ensure team objectives and sales goals are being carried out.

Work with the Human Resources Department to ensure policy and procedures are adhered to every day.

Assist Human Resources department in employee hiring, interviews, disciplinary actions, and coaching by scheduling HR meetings with staff members and potential candidates.

Update and streamline A la Carte SOP’s, and assist in the training of staff. - Oversee comp/void reporting and tip reporting and payroll efforts.

Provide daily walkthroughs to inspect the restaurant as well as upkeep of all building and equipment (FOH & BOH) maintenance and cleanliness and report them in a timely fashion.

Observe the flow of guests, and assist management, and staff in expediting a smooth a la carte service.

Oversee and provide exemplary customer service, including but not limited to maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers.

Communicate with the Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Corporate Executive Chef, and General Manager regarding pace of service, special needs, general guest satisfaction, and recommend disciplinary actions to the Human Resources department, as needed.

Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.

Complete accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or employee is injured.

Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness.

Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.

Ensure excellent customer service by leading and developing the FOH team.

Assist the General Manager with overall restaurant operations.

Draft and submit to the General Manager all staff schedules, and confirm schedules are posted no less than 7 days from the next work week, and ensure all par levels are being met.

Consistently evaluate employee schedules, availability, timesheets, and requested time off, and submit for approval within 24 hours from service dates.

Ensure that employee rates, and tip tier changes are submitted to HR in a timely manner for approval.

Work with our Accounts Payable Department to keep a constant evaluation of the company's P&L, and labor costs (including management), and review labor budgets with the Executive Team & Ownership on a consistent basis.

Conduct thorough full building facility walkthroughs daily.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in hospitality management.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Proven success in managing teams and achieving business objectives.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, and POS systems.
