Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled carpenter to join our team. We are a reputable contracting company specializing in residential and light commercial projects. As a carpenter, you will play a crucial role in constructing, installing, and repairing various structures and fixtures according to project specifications and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
- Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g., drywall, fiberglass) according to measurements.
- Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
- Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.
- Install fixtures like windows, doors, moldings, and hardware.
- Collaborate with foreman, subcontractors, electricians, and other specialists.
- Adhere to safety protocols and rules.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter.
- Proficient in using power and hand tools
- Ability to accurately read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Good mathematical skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
