Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant with Bookkeeping Experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our office operations by managing various administrative tasks and assisting with financial record-keeping. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You may be asked to work in clients' office as well so there is travel within a 1 mile radius to the main office.
Duties
Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and tracking payments.
Assist with double entry bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.
Experience with Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online. Xero as well but not mandatory-will train
Maintain organized files for public accounting documents and other essential paperwork.
May travel to client offices to provide bookkeeping support with management once or twice a week especially during tax season.
Skills
Strong understanding of debits and credits in accounting practices.
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online accounting software is preferred.
Familiarity with public accounting principles is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective report writing and collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
