We are looking for professional self starters who work well independently and have excellent customer service skills. Prior experience is a plus, however, not necessary. We will train candidates for this role by providing training and education in the pest control world and set employees up for success.
We service Ulster, Sullivan, Delaware, Greene, Columbia, and Dutchess Counties.
Job Summary
Pay:
Starting rate $18 per hour during training period
Raise to $21 per hour after initial training period of 3 weeks
Opportunity for a raise after performance reviews (6 months)
+1 year of prior experience as a pest control technician starts at a higher rate

Duties/Responsibilities:
-Inspect property to ascertain possible sites of pest invasion and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent infestation.
-Identify invading pests, including: rats, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, mosquitoes, or bed bugs.
-Safely apply chemical solutions, powders, and granules on or near surfaces of residential and commercial properties to eliminate pests.
-Ensure safety procedures are followed for application and reentry.
-Utilize appropriate protective gear and equipment during application.
-Cut or bore into buildings to access infested areas.
-Make minor exclusions including installing bath trap covers.
-Set mechanical traps and place bait.
-Remove dead rodents after extermination or live animals after trapping.
-Keep service vehicles organized, professional, clean and follow all regulations.
-Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials in company vehicles.
-Maintain professional appearance including clean company uniform, appropriate footwear and maintaining personal hygiene.
-Build positive, strong relationships with clients. Work to exceed client expectations.
-Know and adhere to all TDA regulations as well as follow all label instructions.
-Participate fully in training opportunities provided to enhance knowledge and to meet requirements for licensing.
-Respond cooperatively with fellow employees.
-Manage schedule and route set out day to day.
Requirements and Abilities:
-18 years or older
-Clean driving record/license
-Successful Background checks
-Able to read all labels and instructions
-Able to use extension and step ladders
-Able to stand for prolonged periods
-Able to twist and bend repeatedly for long periods of time
-Able to lift at waist level and above
-Able to carry awkward and shifting weights up to 65 pounds in a safe and controlled manner
-Able to tolerate exposure to outdoor temperatures of heat and cold
-Able to to work in a physically demanding fast-paced environment
-Able and willing to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and assigned uniform as required per company policy
-Should have an entrepreneurial spirit able to work with minimum supervision
-Able to multitask, prioritize, and balance multiple time sensitive tasks simultaneously
-Willing to take responsibility for your own and others safety a well as follow safety rules and regulations and report any unsafe conditions to management
-Willing to follow all safety guidelines set out by Fleck Pest Management
