Accounting Clerk

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in FARMINGDALE, New York. The role will be centered around the execution of various accounting tasks, including account reconciliation, managing accounts receivable, and processing credit card transactions. The selected candidate will join our team and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records.Responsibilities: Manage and process customer credit applications in an efficient manner Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records Actively monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments Process credit card transactions and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately Utilize MS Excel for data analysis and financial reporting Execute manual data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy Process invoices, including manual invoices, in a timely manner Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks, as needed. Requirements Must possess prior experience as an Accounting Clerk or a similar role Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Familiarity with Oracle accounting software is a plus Demonstrated experience with account reconciliation and accounts receivable (AR) Proven skills in billing and data entry Ability to process manual and digital invoices accurately and timely Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Good communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field is preferred.
